Research

The McCune Institute researches the intersection of faith and public life – including a major project examining each article published by the 20 largest US news websites that mentions the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That one-year study began in August 2019 and will continue through July 2020.

Additional projects are examining the way in which religious communities are portrayed in the evolving conversation around sexuality and religious freedom in America today.  Future research will seek to examine other dimensions of the way faith is portrayed in public discourse and national media as a whole.
